 HAVE I REALLY SINNED AGAINST GOD?  I DON'T DO A LOT OF THINGS OTHER PEOPLE DO.  


Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"


This verse tells us that all people have sinned and we all come short of God's glorious standard and His glory.

WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE?  DO YOU SERIOUSLY SAY THAT MY PAYMENT FOR MY SIN IS DEATH?  Yes, but it is SPIRITUAL DEATH, Separation from God forever.  


Romans 6:23 - "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."


The consequences of sin - death, which means eternal separation from God.   The GOOD NEWS is:  It also introduces the only solution - the gift of God, which is eternal life through Jesus Christ.

ARE YOU SAYING A GOD OF "LOVE" COULD SEND ME TO HELL?   WE CHOOSE HEAVEN OR HELL.  WE CHOOSE TO ACCEPT GOD'S GIFT OR REJECT IT.   IT DEPENDS UPON YOU:  GOD GAVE US ALL A CHOICE.


Romans 5:8 - "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."


Despite our sins, God demonstrated His love for us through the death on a cruel cross of His Son, Jesus Christ, who died in our place.  Jesus took our penalty because He loved us so much.  

 WHAT CAN I DO TO CHANGE THIS?  I WANT TO ACCEPT THIS GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE.  


Romans 10:9 - "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."


Salvation is received through faith in Jesus Christ—by confessing Him as Lord and believing in His resurrection.  Can you choose to do that today?  

 SERIOUSLY, IT'S THAT EASY?   YES, IT'S A GIFT.  WE ACCEPT THE GIFT.  


Romans 10:13 - "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Romans 6:23 - "For the wages of sin is death; but the GIFT OF GOD is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."


A "gift" is impossible to "receive" unless we "choose" to accept it and decide to follow the Lord.   

YES, THE BIBLE SYMBOLIZES AND GOD SEES US AS BABIES, REBORN.  


John 3:3 - "Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. "


But, no one wants to "stay" a baby, right?  It's now time to grow.  

GROWING HELP #1 THERE IS GOOD "FOOD" IN THE BIBLE, WE NEED TO "EAT" IT BY READING OUR BIBLES TO BECOME MATURE CHRISTIANS.  


Psalm 119:105 - "Your Word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path."

Joshua 1:8 - "Keep this book of the law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be able to do everything written in it. "

2 Timothy 3:16-17 - "All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness."

Hebrews 4:12 NKJV- "For the Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."


I read about a man in Tulsa, Oklahoma, who read his Bible more times than I can fathom, multiple times a year,  after God supernaturally healed him.  I would recommend attempting to read it minimum once a year.  

THERE IS LOTS TO BE GAINED BY GATHERING WITH OTHER BELIEVERS.  


Hebrews 10:25 - "Not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the day drawing near."

Acts 20:7 - "On the first day of the week we came together to break bread.  Paul spoke to the people and, because he intended to leave the next day, kept on talking until midnight.  

Colossians 3:16 - "Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly, as you teach and admonish one another, with all wisdom through Psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts."

Matthew 18:20 - "For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them."

GROWING HELP #3 DECIDE TODAY TO DESTROY FEAR IN YOUR LIFE.  IT'S A COMMAND.  "Be anxious for NOTHING."  Anxiety is fear.  


Philippians 4:6 NKJV- "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.  And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."

2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV - "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. "



A SCIENTIFIC STUDY I SAW RECENTLY SAID THAT 12 MINUTES OF PRAYER DAILY LITERALLY CREATES NEW NEURAL PATHWAYS, LITERALLY CHANGING OUR LIVES.  


Philippians 4:6 NKJV- "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, BY PRAYER AND SUPPLICATION, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God."

Psalm 145:18 NKJV- "The Lord is near to all who call upon him; to all who call upon Him in Truth."

1 Thessalonians 5:17 NKJV- "Pray without ceasing."


PERSONAL TESTIMONY:  AFTER I "caught" the scripture "pray without ceasing", I began seeking the Lord for understanding.   I learned I can give my body to the Lord and ask HIM to use it while I sleep in prayer or anything He chooses and trust HIM to do good things because of His love for me.  One night after that prayer, I saw myself in the Spirit of God praying with the most powerful intercessor of China.  As I was awakening, I saw him walking away, and he turned back and said "We will not meet again until heaven."  I woke up excited but freaked out at what I felt like God had literally done........ using me to pray while I slept.  You will not ever get me to think differently.  smile God adores His little baby girl.  

 GRATEFULNESS NOT ONLY HEALS OUR EMOTIONS, BUT IT IS REQUIRED.  A COMMAND.  SMILE.  BE GRATEFUL EVEN IN THE BAD THINGS..... YES!  BECAUSE GOD IS WORKING ALL THINGS TOGETHER FOR OUR GOOD AND HIS GLORY.  GRATEFULNESS HEALS YOU.

PERSONAL TESTIMONY:  The Lord gave me 1 Thess 5:18 in a dream.  I asked "How can I give you thanks for the bad things, Lord?  He showed me a huge puzzle on a wall, an "unfinished" puzzle that was MY LIFE.  It was  a huge wall, just pieces here and there.   He took His HUGE hand and turned one piece that was upside down, I felt pain.  Owwww, that hurt Lord.  BUT, Then I saw it, Ohhhhhh THAT's what you are doing there, Lord, I said.  He added other pieces to other sections.  Ohhhhh I see what you are doing there Lord!   After He made several changes, some painless, some painful, He told me "Sherry, this puzzle is your life.  It's MINE.  It's not finished.  You can not see the full picture yet.  It's MY CREATION.  YES, You CAN GIVE ME THANKS for the life I am creating.  In EVERY THING give thanks.  

GOD DOESN'T SPEAK TO ME.  YES, HE DOES.  THOSE WERE MY THOUGHTS TOO.  NOW I KNOW ...YOU SIMPLY NEED TO "HEAR".  IT'S A "LEARNED" GIFT.  


John 10:27 NKJV- "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me."

John 8:47 NKJV- "He who is of God hears God's words, therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God."


PERSONAL TESTIMONY:  I spent two years, nearly every day pressing in to God, almost daily.  Part of that pressing was "Lord, I want to hear your voice!  Your Word says your sheep hear your voice, Lord!  All of a sudden, I am hearing His lovely voice ............ OFTEN.  YES!  It was worth the price of pressing in for two long years!

21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

Build on the Rock

How can you HEAR and OBEY and "enter the Kingdom of heaven" if you don't ask the Lord ... BEG the Lord, PERSIST with the Lord to hear His lovely voice, so that YOU CAN DO the will of the Father?  As Christians we must, must must ......... LISTEN AND OBEY.  



SO, in summation, we have to pray, pray, pray and press in to the Lord to HEAR His lovely voice.  THEN we have to LISTEN ...  and obey.  Obedience is so easy in the beginning.  


AGAIN, this is very personal for me.  IN THE BEGINNING of learning to hear ......the FEAR of the LORD was alllll over me....  GOD DID AMAZING THINGS as I obeyed.  But that's a whole different BOOK.  


Walking in wisdom with the FEAR of the Lord ....  then the enemy decides YOU ARE A THREAT TO 'HIS' KINGDOM'.    And the FIRE begins...
